I was selected to meet with the Department of Education Secretary Dr. Miguel Cardona on Friday, December 17, 2021. I spoke with him about school accountability and behavior support for students as well as parenting during a pandemic. Mayor Latoya Cantrell, Dr. Cade BrumleyLouisiana Superintendent of Education, Dr. Henderson Lewis, Jr. Superintendent of Schools, Congressman Troy Craver Sr., and other influential figures in education and policy were also in attendance. It was an empowering experience that will propel LIAA to work closely with our policymakers and city officials to ensure Diversity, Equity, Inclusion.
